そういった実際のネイティブ・スピーカーの発音を学ぶという意味でも洋楽は有用な教材の一つだと言えます。しかし音楽を使って英語を学ぶ上で注意しなければならないこともあります。歌詞は詩のようなものなので、一般的な文法や語法や定型表現から外れているものやダブル・ミーニングや文化的な背景を理解していないと意味が分からないものやネイティブ・スピーカーに訊いても意味が理解できないものなどがあるからです。難解な歌詞の曲を選んでしまうとそこで得た知識はあまり活かせないでしょう。

They also can be double-meaning or something you cannot understand without understanding cultural backgrounds, or even if you ask native speakers they may not understand the meaning. If you choose a song with difficult lyrics, you won't be able to use what you have learned there.
