Damo’s premise is simple, but its founding team has been developing its core technology years. CEO CS Chiang and CTO Louis Lin first worked together at Tellink, a small startup where they developed a Skype-esque VOIP (voice-over-internet-protocol) product. While they managed to attract clients as big as FarEastern, one of Taiwan’s leading telcos, the business went under in 2006 after running out of cash.
