それは、STAP細胞問題です。この問題は、理研のみならず科学界に大きな衝撃を与え、同時に小保方晴子氏が卒業した早稲田大学のずさんな博士論文の管理も問題となりました。
人々の期待も大きく、それを結果的に謝罪もなく裏切った小保方氏の責任は相当なものです。
特に新しい万能細胞へ大いに期待していたであろう難病の患者やその関係者の落胆は想像もできません。
