MPIジャパンチャプターは10月22日、シャングリ･ラ ホテル 東京で「MPI特別ランチセミナー」を実施。デンマーク在住のファシリテーション専門家マレーネ・リックスさんが「ビジネスにおけるネゴシエーション～異文化の理解を踏まえて～」をテーマに登壇した。
リックスさんは、ネゴシエーションは相手を打ち負かすものではなく、異なる意見をもつ人と分かり合えるための手段とし、交渉することを肯定的に捉えることを提案した。また、自分の行動を決める時にも自分自身の中で行なわれていると説明した。
