画像が表示されないエラー

画像をアップロードすると画像が表示されません。FTPで確認するとサーバーにはきちんとアップロードされています。
画像のpermissionが600だったので手動で644に変更したら問題なく表示されました。
※uploadsフォルダのpermissionは777にしています。

同じような問題になった人は過去にいませんか？サーバー側の問題ですか？PHPのCHMODで画像のpermissionを644にすることはできませんか？

Error: picture doesn't appear on screen

Picture isn't displayed on screen after uploading. The picture is uploaded on the server when it's checked with FTP.
The picture's permission was 600, and it appeared without any problem after changing it into 644 manually.
*uploads folder's permission is 777.

Did anyone have similar problem before? Is it server side problem? Is it possible to make the picture permission 644 with PHP's CHMOD?
