せっかくですから、日本語の挨拶についてすこし共有します。

初めて会った人に対しては「はじめまして」が使われます。英語のNice to meet youに該当します。

基本的には朝昼晩で言葉が変わります。
朝は「おはよう」でGood morning、昼は「こんにちは」で〜、夜は「こんばんは」で〜になります。
「おはよう」については、目上の方については「おはようございます」になります。

ぜひ日本人を見かけたら声かけてみてくださいね。きっと喜ぶと思います。

English

Since it's awaited, I share about greeting in Japan.

We use the phrase "Hajimemashite" to those who we meet for the first time. This corresponds to "Nice to meet you" in English.

Generally greetings change in morning, daytime, and night.
In morning, we say "Ohayo(write Ohayou)" which corresponds Good morning, in daytime we say "Konnichiwa (write Konnichiha)", and in night "Konbanwa (write Konbanha)".
Regarding to "Ohayo", when we use the word to superiors, it changes to "Ohayou gozaimasu".

When you see Japanese people, please talk to them with these phrases. They'll be glad to hear that.
