No, the system you sent me was not a BOSE System3, it was an old BOSE system. When I revisited the site to look at the photographs you posted, I then understood it was an older system. The serial number is displayed on the photographs and it matches the product I have. When I checked with BOSE it is a 4-5 year old model. The remote control as described has a plastic cover, but it is suited for the older model.
You have shipped the item packaged in cushioning in a box, I will be returning it the same way.
