日本コングレス・コンベンション・ビューローは6月16日、京王プラザで「平成26年度通常総会」を開催した。平成25年度の事業活動と決算の報告と、平成26年度の事業計画が承認された。

猪口邦子会長は「日本がもっている革新性、先端科学技術、日本の文化、伝統も含めて世界に発信できる機会である五輪・パラリンピックは、世界最大のMICEと言える。政策において高い地位を占めるようになってきた国際会議・MICE分野の発展のために、JCCBが役割をさらに発展させていきたい」と抱負を述べた。

Japan Congress Convention Bureau (JCCB) held the 2014 annual meeting at Keio Plaza Hotel. The activities and financial statement from 2013 were reported to the participants. In addition, business operation plans for 2014 were discussed and approved during the meeting. The JCCB chairwoman Kuniko Inoguchi stated, “events like the Olympics and Paralympics are some of the largest business and social events in the world where Japan can demonstrate our innovativeness, state-of-art scientific technologies, Japanese culture and traditions to the whole world. I truly wish that JCCB will be able to take a crucial role in developing the field of international conventions and MICE (Meeting, Incentive travel, Convention, Event/Exhibition) as the field has emerged and has begun more important in the domain of politics.
