関税は申告額に対して発生するので、申告額が少ない方がもし関税が発生した場合に有利に働きます。
アマゾンの領収書も商品と一緒に入っているので発見されるかもしれませんが、その場合は発送した売主が原価を書いたと主張すれば大丈夫です。ただしあまりにも少ない額を申告するとその主張ができないと思ったので約7割の値段にしました。
もし必要なら今から申告額を元の$255.70に増額する手続きを日本郵便に急いで申告します。

The tariff is applied to your item in proportion to the declared amount. Hence the lower the declared amount may be, the cheaper the tariff would be charged in your favour in an event your item is picked for the customs inspection.
The inspectors may find the invoice enclosed with the item, but in such cases you could simply explain that's the original retail price set at the end of the sender. With this being said, however, we have set the amount for declaration to be 70% of the original price lest you should not get in trouble for declaring unrealistically small amount. If necessary, we could revise our declaration amount back to its original $255.70 through Japan Post ASAP.
