そもそもiBeaconを使用するには、ビーコンの受信端末と発信端末の2つが必要となります。もちろんiOSで両方とも機能を果たせるのですが高価なiOSデバイスを、いくつも発
信端末には使えません。したがって安価に購入できるEstimoteのようなサードパーティが次々と台頭してくるのです。

以上、第1回は基礎知識としてのiBeaconおさらいでした。次回からは各特徴について体当たり調査を行なったレポートをお届けします。

In order to use iBeacon, both transmitting and receiving terminals for beacon are required in the first place. Of course, iOS supports both functions but we can not use many expensive iOS devices for transmitting terminals. This leads to the emergence of third parties like Estimote that offer affordable devices.

In summary, this first report is a recap of basics about iBeacon. In the next repot and thereafter, we will present the results of our study about iBeacon's features.
