一般的に「僕/ぼく/ボク」は男性が用いる一人称であるが、創作作品においては一人称に「僕・ボク」を用いる女性キャラクターが一定数存在し、萌え要素の一つとなっている。多くはボーイッシュ・中性的なキャラクターがこれに当て嵌まるが、必ずしもそうとは限らず、幼さを連想させることも多い。

In general, "boku" is first-person pronoun used by males, but there are always female characters using "boku" as first-person pronoun in fictional works, which grew into a charming factor. This applies to many boyish or androgynous characters, but it isn't always the case for they often suggest childishness as well.
