The town has been well preserved with storehouses and rows of white-walled houses which deeply remind the atmosphere of Edo era.

Sahara (Katori City, Chiba Prefecture)

Sahara is used be a flourish town of water transport utilizing the Tone River as it was called “surpassing Edo City”. There are many merchants, even at present time, which has been succeeding a family business together with houses built in Edo era: this district is designated as “important preservation district of historical buildings”.

Otaki (Otakimachi, Chiba Prefecture)

Mr, Tadakatsu Honda, one of a powerful commander of Mr. Ieyasu Tokugawa, created this castle town.
