日本海側だけでなく山形、秋田の内陸部からも眺める事の出来る山形県から秋田県にまたがるお山です。
庄内平野からの鳥海山は映画「おくりびと」のシーンに数多く見られます。

筑波山（関東地方・茨城県）

関東平野の北東縁に位置するお山です。
それほど高くない山ですが東京の高層ビルなどからでも天気の良い日は見る事が出来るでしょう。

弥彦山（甲信越地方・新潟県）

越後平野の真ん中あたりに島のように浮かび上がるのが弥彦山です。

it is a mountain crossing the border of Yamagata Prefecture and Akita Prefecture that we can see not only from Sea of Japan but also from inland area of Yamagata and Akita.
Mt.Chokai from Shonai Plain is seen in the scene of movie called "Okuribito" many time.

Mt.Tsukuba(Kanto Area, Ibaragi Prefecture)

It is a mountain located in northeastern edge of Kanto Plain.
It is not a very high mountain, but we can see it from high rise building in Tokyo on nice day.

Mt.Yahiko(Koshin Area, Ni-igata Prefecture)
It is Mt.Yahiko that rises as if it were an island in the middle of Echigo Plain.
