この作品は現在でも熱狂的なフォロワーが多数居て日本のみならず、世界のSFアニメ映画という範疇で考えても
「この作品に匹敵する映画は未だ発表されていない」と、筆者は思っています。
押井アニメの中でも１、2を争う傑作です。
