Ameyoko-cho Arcade (meaning candy store street) is one of the most lively shopping districts in Tokyo. On weekends, it is so filled with visitors that one can hardly walk.

At the same time , it is the starting station of the railroads going toward north-east Japan, so it is loved for its nostalgic atmosphere.
