Temperature: If comparing pH of verious samples must be done in the same templature.
Homogeneity: Solution where standing sediment must be stirred homogeneously in a phiscal and scientific manner. Time also play an important roll. Especially, this applies to low level of buffering capacity, in other words, low level of salt or no salts. For example, CO2 (from atmosphere) will be melt solution such low level of salt and trigger a change in pH.
