9月13日、東京ビッグサイトで「JATA旅博2013」が開幕。今回は154か国・地域から730社・団体が出展、過去最大の1353小間での開催となった。

12日には商談会が開催されたほか、夕刻には「Tabihaku Night 2013」が開催された。増上寺をユニークベニューとして利用し、江戸をイメージした和の空間“TABIHAKU YOKOCHO”を境内に創出した。各国駐日大使、国内外の出展者などおよそ800人に、日本のおもてなし文化やMICE開催地としての魅力を披露した。

"JATA Tabihaku* Expo 2013"opened on Sept 13 at Tokyo Big Sight. The participants ranging from 154 countries and
areas with 730 companies and organizations were spreading into largest ever 1353 rooms.

After the business meetings on 12th, "Tabihaku Night 2013" opened.
Using Zojo-ji (Zojo Temple) as the unique venue, a Japanese space "TABIHAKU YOKOCHO" was recreated with the image of Edo in mind on the temple grounds. About 800 guests from ambassadors representing different countries to the exhibitors outside and inside Japan were there to enjoy the beauty of Japanese culture "omotenashi*" and were charmed by the MICE hosting venue.
