9月13日、東京ビッグサイトで「JATA旅博2013」が開幕。今回は154か国・地域から730社・団体が出展、過去最大の1353小間での開催となった。

12日には商談会が開催されたほか、夕刻には「Tabihaku Night 2013」が開催された。増上寺をユニークベニューとして利用し、江戸をイメージした和の空間“TABIHAKU YOKOCHO”を境内に創出した。各国駐日大使、国内外の出展者などおよそ800人に、日本のおもてなし文化やMICE開催地としての魅力を披露した。

On the 13th of September, JATA2013 opened on a big site in Tokyo. This time, 730 companys and organisations from 154 different countries and regions took part in the exhibition, the biggest turn out to this day.

On the 12th, aside from business talks, Tabihaku Night 2013 also took place in the evening. Using the Zoujouji temple as a unique site, the japanese style room Tabihaku Yokocho, was created on its premises to give that certain Edo feel. About 800 people, including the ambassodors to Japan of every country and foreign exhibitors, were introduced to the Japanese hospitality culture and the charm of the MICE venue.
