This instrument is a testament to the handmade quality of this era, compression is good, 98 % in my opinion, new valves or new valve job being 100% . Look at the valves, they show no wear, work as good as they look. If you have been looking for a special example of this model Olds Recording trumpet in original condition I would offer this one for your consideration, a looker and great player. This instrument is a easy to play, everything from a soft breathy note to huge room filling projection, wonderful low end and great smokey/jazzy sound.
