That would like me buying a Toyota but going to a NON Toyota dealer for install, repairs or warranty and expecting Toyota to pay another shop’s bill…and trust it was done correctly by NON Toyota trained techs..not likely.
As for returns to Harley. Harley has no provision for us to return to REPAIR electrical items. So long as we return the item to Harley and it has never left the store or has been installed by us or an outside Harley dealer, they just send us a new one. It costs far, far more to repair an item than to just replace it. Harley does require we submit an authorized Harley Repair Order to validate the proper install.

そういう話を聞くと、トヨタ製品を買いたくなってしまいます。トヨタディーラーではない店舗へ取り付け、修理や保障を依頼しても、そのほかの店舗からの請求に対してトヨタが支払いする事を期待します。例えトヨタで訓練を受けていない技術者が対応したとしても、正しく対応されたと信じての事です。
ハーレーのお話に戻りますが、ハーレーは私達に電子機器の修理サービスの提供はしません。修理部品をハーレーに返却すると、新しい部品を郵送するだけで、私達は独自で、あるいは外部のハーレーディーラーに依頼して修理してもらわなければなりません。それでは買い換えるより相当費用がかかってしまいます。ハーレーは、適切な取り付けが出来るように修理依頼をぜひ受け付けるべきだと思います。
