The linguistic challenge is how to accommodate into British life thw significant number of immgrants from many different countries who hardly speak English.
Most people agree that British society is much more open, tolerant and lively than it was；many believe it's also now too individualistic and too disrespectful of authority. It'll be interesting to see how it develops from now on.

It's well known that tea is Britain unofficial national drink.
But the history of tea shows how the customs of a country can change.
England has been a country for more than a thousand years, but tea didn't become a puplar drink until the middle of the 18th century.

言語的な課題は、英語をほとんど話せない多くの異なる国からの相当数の移民を、どのようにイギリスの生活に受け入れるかということだ。ほとんどの人はイギリス社会がかつてより、ずっとオープン、寛容、そして活気があると考える。また多くの人は、今はあまりに自己中心的で権威に敬意を払わなくなったと考える。これからどのようになっていくのか観察するのは興味深い。

紅茶がイギリスの非公式の国民的飲料だということは良く知られている。
しかし紅茶の歴史は、国の習慣がどう変わるかを示している。
