カナダでも報道されていると思いますが、日本は今大変深刻な事態になっています。
幸い私と家族はは被災地から離れているため元気です。
しかしながら被害を目の前にしながら何も出来ない自分の無力さに心を痛めています。
日本国民一人一人が今できることを考え行動する必要性を感じています。

I suppose that the earthquake-hit Japan must have been broadcast in Canada, and Japan is now facing a really grave situation.
Fortunately, my family and I are safe and well due to living away from the quake-hit area. I feel, however, how powerless I am. I can do nothing in facing the victims of the devastating earthquake and tsunami.
I think that each one of Japanese needs to find out what to do right now and do it.
