こちらは「日蓮」が旅の途中で病気が重くなり、お世話になったお屋敷があった場所です。この家でお世話になり、療養しましたが、治らずに亡くなった場所です。時は1282年、今から730年前の出来事です。鎌倉時代でした。
ここは池上宗仲公邸の屋敷があった場所です。
日蓮の病気は重篤でしたが、亡くなるまでの1か月間、この部屋で多くの弟子や信者に法華経の講義をしました。日蓮はまっすぐ座ることができず、柱に寄りかかりながらも講義をしました。ここにある

Nichiren passed away on October 13 when he was sixty one years old.

Please settle down on the floor if you could. This house was the place where Nichiren was taken care of due to his illness getting worse in the middle of his journey around Japan. He passed away at this house although he was receiving the treatment while well taken care of. It was the year 1282 when he passed away. Seven hundred thirty years back in the Kamakura era. The huge house owned by Ikegami Munenaka used to be at this place. The illness of Nichiren was quite severe but he continued teaching to many disciples and believers for one month immediately before his death. Although he could not sit on the floor upright but he continued teaching while he was leaning against the post.
