一つまともなことで、この場合には品目itemが問題となっていると思います。そのときitem は一つの品で、それを１０個注文するとorder 10 items とはならないで、item の個数はpieceですから、10 pieces of the item と思うんです。あなたもひょっとすると間違っておられるような表現がありますので。
