"He ended up sending me the first minute or two of 'Tailwind' and on the first listen I automatically knew this song was meant to be on the album. I went over to his house and we finished writing it (the bridge/ending was actually inspired by a different song I was working on months prior to this)," McDowell said. "'Tailwind' ended up being the last song we wrote and luckily became the album's closer."
