Toaru Kagaku no INDEXでの主人公です。彼の右手はすべての異能を無効化するという幻想殺し（イマジンブレイカー）の力が宿っています。そのため極度の不幸体質で、不幸を呼び込みやすくなってしまっています。
口癖が「不幸だー！！」しかし、この男、女性関係になると途端に強運を発揮します。パンチラや、入浴・脱衣シーンによく遭遇しています。けしからん！
性格は、困っている人を見かけると、猪突猛進してしまうタイプです。
He is a main character of Toaru Kagaku no INDEX. His right hand contains a power called Imagine Breaker, which negates all the other special powers. Because of the power, he has extremely bad luck, and easily gets involved in unlucky events.
He always say "How unfortunate I am!!", but he seems a fortunate man when it comes to girls. He often sees their panty-shot accidentaly or bumps into them when they are bathing or taking off their clothes.
He tends to make a headlong rush when he runs into people in trouble.
