Up for auction is a vintage McIntosh C-28 Solid State Preamplifier in great cosmetic condition. The unit powers up and delivers output to both channels and headphones. The McIntosh name and reputation was second to none in its day.The unit has NOT been professionally inspected so I would recommend you have it serviced by a professional to ensure its performance. The only thing I noticed was some scratchiness when adjusting the position of some of the controls--an electronic cleaning would take care of this. You are bidding on a 1970s piece of equipment and therefore there is no guarantee on its operation. It has been cared for and not abused, but I cannot vouch for whether everything is fully operational
