日本のひとつの伝統文化でもある表具。

表具とは紙・布を張り、巻物・掛け軸・書画帳・屏風(びょうぶ)・襖(ふすま)などを仕立てること。
私はこの技術、趣、などに魅了されてしまった。

そして私は、その伝統技術を学んで１級表装技能士の認定を受けた。

現代の表具には機械をつかった掛軸、屏風の作成、キレ、和紙の作成も
安く盛んにはなっているが、どうしても私は手で作った職人芸に魅了される。

私はかつて親方のもとで表具の技術を磨いた。

機械を使えば屏風の骨をまっすぐに削る事はたやすい。

Hyogu (mounting) is one of Japanese traditions.

Hyogu refers to the craft of mounting pieces of calligraphy, paintings, or other works of art onto scrolls, frames, or folding screens. I was completely charmed by this art for its technique.

Then I learned this ancient craft and received the Level 1 hyogu certification.

For the modern hyogu, it has become common to manufacture scrolls, folding screen through a machine as Japanese washi paper is made inexpensively, but I inevitable feel attracted to handmade craftsmanship.

I polished my hyogu skills under my master.

With a machine, it is easy to cut the bone of the folding screen straight.
