東芝など、石巻でスマートコミュニティ計画策定へ
東芝と石巻市、東北電力は、経済産業省が今年2月に公募した「2011年度スマートコミュニティ導入促進事業」に石巻市で申請していたスマートコミュニティ構築計画が採択されたと発表した。
スマートコミュニティ導入促進事業は、復興フェーズにある地域で、災害に強いまちづくりとして、再生可能エネルギーの活用を中心としたスマートコミュニティを構築するための事業。

Toshiba, Ishinomaki City and the Tohoku Electric Power announced that their plan to establish a “Smart Community” was accepted by Ishinomaki City, which the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry had been calling for entries for the “2011 Smart Community Introduction Promotion” in February 2012.
The Smart Community Introduction Promotion is the project intended to establish smart communities mainly utilizing recyclable energy in the cities now in the restoration phase. This is planned for making the cities fortified and so that the cities can survive disasters.
