ホンダは、中型クラス車両用のCVTを新開発し、5日発表の『ステップワゴン』と『ステップワゴン・スパーダ』に搭載した。新開発のCVTは、従来のCVTに対し約5％、同クラスの5ATに対して約10％の燃費向上を実現したという。

新開発のCVTは、高効率電動オイルポンプや高強度ベルト、CVT専用オイルを採用することで伝達効率を上げ、燃費性能を向上させた。

Improved New Version of Honda STEPWGN/CVT for mid-size class newly developed

Honda has newly developed the CVT for mdedium-sized class and builted it in the STEPWGAN and the STEPWGN SPADA launched on the 5th. They state that the new CVT has realized higher fuel efficiency by 5% against the usual CVT and by 10% against the 5AT in the class.
The new CVT has improved the fuel efficiency by introducing high efficiency electric oil pump, high intensity belt and oil for exclusive CTV's use.
