ホンダは、中型クラス車両用のCVTを新開発し、5日発表の『ステップワゴン』と『ステップワゴン・スパーダ』に搭載した。新開発のCVTは、従来のCVTに対し約5％、同クラスの5ATに対して約10％の燃費向上を実現したという。

新開発のCVTは、高効率電動オイルポンプや高強度ベルト、CVT専用オイルを採用することで伝達効率を上げ、燃費性能を向上させた。

"[New Improved Honda Step Wagon] Developed NEW CVT medium-sized class vehicle specific"

Honda has developed a new CVT specific for medium-sized class vehicle, equipped to the "Step Wagon -Spada" and "Step Wagon" which the both vehicles were newly introduced on April 5th. The newly developed CVT achieved, about 5% versus the conventional as well as about 10% improvement in fuel economy for the 5AT in the same class.

The newly developed CVT has achieved increasing the transmission efficiency as well as improved fuel efficiency by adopting high efficiency electric oil pump, high-strength belt and dedicated CVT oil.
