laminate coatingは、両面Matte coatingにすることができると伺いましたが（先のメールに記載がありましたが）、laminate coatingはしなくても良いのでしょうか（必須でしょうか）？

先日、来日したNさんの名刺はlaminate coatingが無かったので
念のため確認させてください。

I heard that we can change laminate coating to matte coating at both sides. (It was listed in the previous email.) Does it mean that we do not have to do laminate coating? (necessary?)

As I did not find the laminate coating at N's business card. He came to Japan a few days ago.
I would like to confirm it for reference.
