いそざき神社
田村市指定有形文化財

神社が出来た年代は不明だが、現在の社殿は1894年に造りなおされた。　
巨石が点在している崖に社殿を建築してあり、メインの柱3本は自然石に立ててある。
いそざき神社最大の特徴は、社殿の床下をくぐり抜けて上らなければ参拝できないという、とても珍しい造りである。
崖や急斜面に沿って寺院、神社を建てる建築様式を「かけづくり」と言う。

Isozaki Shrine
Designated tangible cultural property of Tamura City

It is not confirmed when the shrine was built however, the current Shinto shrine was re-built in 1894.
It is built in cliff where megaliths are scattered with three main pillars standing on fieldstone.
The biggest feature of Isozaki Shrine is the very unique structure where people cannot worship unless going underneath the floor of the Shinto shrine.
The structure method of building temples or shrines along with cliff or steep slope is called “Kakezukuri” .
