二ツ小屋トンネル(廃道)
福島県福島市から山形県米沢市を結ぶ道路は、1881年に開通し明治天皇により万世大路と名付けられた。
二ツ小屋トンネル(384m)は、万世大路に2つあるトンネルの一つです。
1934年(昭和9年)に自動車が通行できるように、拡張工事が行われました。
1966年(昭和41年)には、冬季の豪雪時にも通行できるように新たな場所にトンネルを開通させ、万世大路はその役割を終えて廃道になりました。

Futatsugoya Tunnel (closed down)
The road that connect Fukushima City, Fukushima and Yonezawa City, Yamagata was opened on 1881, and was named Bansei Tairo by Meiji Emperor.
Futatsugoya Tunnel (384m) is one of two tunnels in Bansei Tairo.
Expansion construction was took place on 1934 on purpose of enabling cars to use the road.
In 1966, a new tunnel was opened on another place in order to use the road during the heavy snow season in winter, and Bansei Tairo was closed down.
