Crowdfunding in Japan - From Japan ! Space probe by private foundation. A Project to launch a dream to the moon
ピーター・ディアマンディスが設立した民間発の宇宙開発を促進・援助する財団、『X Prize Foundation』。X Prize FoundationにはGoogleを立ち上げたラリー・ページ、セルゲイ・ブリン、マイクロソフトのビル・ゲイツのビル&メリンダ財団、Amazon.comのジェフ・ベゾス、ヴァージンのリチャード・ブランソンなど、インターネットビジネスの”成功者”が数多く関わっている。
'X Prize Foundation', a foundation established by Peter H. Diamandis with the aim of developing and supporting space exploitation. Many of 'the top of the heap winners' of Internet business including Bill Gate's Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Amazon.com's Jeffrey Bezos, Virgin's Richard Branson are involved in the project.
そのX Prize Foundationが運営し、Googleがスポンサーとなっているコンテストが、『Google Lunar X Prize』である。Google Lunar X Prizeは、2007年に開始された「民間が開発した無人探査機で月面を探査し、規定の条件をクリアしたチームに賞金が与えられる」という宇宙開発コンテストである。
'Google Lunar X Prize' is a contest which Prize Foundation hosts and Google sponsors. Google Lunar X Prize is a space probe contest started in 2007 in which the participants explore the moon surface by a robot craft developped in private companies and teams who clear the established condition are awarded.
このコンテストに日本から参加しているのが『White Label Space』。月面ローバー（探査車）を日本の民間組織において独自に開発しているチームだ。
White Label Space（WLSJ）はローバーの小型化を目指して開発を進めており、小型ローバーのプロトタイプの製作費および一部の実験費を調達するためCampfireで資金調達を実施。
¥2,000,000に設定された目標金額に対し、¥2,301,520を調達してプロジェクトは2012/12/04にSUCCESSした。
The team that participate in this contest from Japan is 'White Label Space'. The team is developping its own Moon surface rover(robot craft) in a Japanese private organization.
White Label Space（WLSJ）is developping the Monn rover looking to reduce its size. It raised the funds to build prototype small sized rover and put it to the tests.
The team sees a success of the project in December 4, 2012, raising ¥2,301,520 toward the target amount ¥2,000,000.
