私から、品物を発送した運送会社に問い合わせて、その運送会社から国際支店や、
日本にあるイギリス領事館に問い合わせた結果、
『イギリスの関税や手数料に対してはどうにもならない』という回答を頂きました。
間違いの可能性があるとすれば、3700円の品物に対して21ポンドの関税や手数料は、
普通に考えて有り得ないと思いますので、税関の職員が、
『3700円を3700ポンドと見間違えたのか』あるいは
『元払いで送った品物が、着払いで間違えて届いた場合。』等が考えられます。
I asked the delivery company which sent my products.
Then, the company asked its international branch and the English consulate in Japan.
In the result, they said "you can do nothing for the custom duty or charge in England".
However, 21 pound of custom duty or charge for the product of 3700 yen is unbeleivable.
So there is possibility that the staff in the customs misuread 3700 yen and read it as 3700 pund or the product paid by the shipper was mistakenly arrived on a C.O.D. basis.
