日本人形は、
伝統的な日本人の風俗の様子を伝えるものならばすべて含まれることになりますが、
どのような種類のものがあるのでしょうか。
日本人形に含められるものには先にも述べた市松人形を含むおやま人形や、衣装人形、
土で成型して焼成された博多人形、
帝を象徴する男児の赤子をかたどった御所人形や、
木製の奈良人形、御台人形、こけしなども日本人形にカテゴライズされます。
これらの多くは、お土産や節句、お祝い事の際の贈り物として頻繁にやり取りがされていました。
If Japanese dolls are considered items that communicate the traditional customs of Japanese, they come to encompass all aspects. But what types are there? Those included as categories of Japanese dolls are, as I mentioned before, Oyama dolls (which include Ichimatsu dolls), dress up dolls, Hakata dolls (which are formed from clay and then fired), Old imperial palace dolls [Goshonin] (which are modeled after male imperial children and represent the emperor), wooden Nara dolls, Odai dolls, Kokeshi dolls, etc. Many of these are frequently exchanged as gifts on celebratory occasions and as souvenirs and for seasonal festivals.
