"when we arrived at Raffles in the taxi- the driver laughed and asked if we were sure we wanted to stay- we should have listened!!! we were supposed to be there for 6 nights- staid for one (begrudgingly!) and that involved being fully clothed sitting on top of th filthy bed covers watching giant cockroaches crawl across the floor!!
this place was absolutly filthy. such a shame as the location could have been wonderful, a lot of potential, but the staff (who had only recently taken over) clearly have no idea about running a business and cleaning! the fridge in the room absolutely stunk, even with the door shut and when we dared to open it, itwas FULL of dead insects! and mould.
Saat kami tiba di Raffles dengan taxi, supir taxinya tertawa dan bertanya apakah kami yakin ingin tinggal di sana, kami seharusnya mendengarkan perkataannya! kami seharusnya tinggal di sana selama 6 malam -tapi akhirnya hanya satu malam saja (dengan penug kekesalan)! Dan ini termasuk duduk di atas tempat tidur berseprai kotor dengan berpakaian lengkap sambil menyaksikan kecoak raksasa berkeliaran di lantai. Tempat ini luar biasa kotor. Sungguh disayangkan karena lokasinya sangat bagus, punya banyak potensi, tapi para staffnya (yang baru-baru saja direkrut) jelas tampak tidak mengerti bagaimana caranya mengelola bisnis dan kebersihan! lemari pendingin di kamar benar-benar bau dan ketika kami memberanikan diri membukanya, di dalamnya penuh serangga mati dan lumut.
breakfast was ok, far too much foos, but the plates and cutlery were FILTHY, made me wonder what the kitchen would be like!
i have nothing against outdoor bathrooms and fully understand that in this sort of location there will be insects, but to find dead partially rotten cockraoches, a dirty unflushed toilet and another guest's disused shampoo sachets on the floor is just not acceptable
Sarapan paginya oke, porsinya agak terlalu banyak, tapi peralatan makannya semuanya kotor, membuat saya bertanya-tanya seperti apa penampakan di dapurnya. Saya tidak punya keberatan apapun dengan kamar mandi di luar dan mengerti bahwa di lokasi seperti ini memungkinkan adanya serangga, tapi untuk menemukan sebagian tubuh kecoak mati yang membusuk, toilet yang kotor dan tidak dibilas, dan sachet shampoo bekas milik tamu lain di lantai benar-benar tidak dapat diterima.
when we asked what was going on- we were advised that they had taken over 6 months ago and had not got round to doing anything to place yet!! the photos etc, were from when the last owners had it so they are in no way reflcetive of what is there now- a stagnant pool, filthy restaurant, no access to bottled water and FILTHY rooms.
i feel bad for leaving this review as the staff were really nice- bus this is the worst place i have ever had to stay!

Saat kami menanyakan semua hal ini, kami diberi tahu bahwa tempat ini baru saja diambil alih kira-kira 6 bulan yang lalu dan pihak hotel belum sempat membenahi semuanya. Foto-foto yang ada semuanya ketika hotel ini masih dikelola pemilik yang lama, jadi sama sekali tidak menggambarkan keadaan yang sesungguhnya sekarang - kolam yang keruh, restoran yang kotor, tidak ada air minum botolan, dan kamar yang sangat kotor. Saya merasa tidak enak harus menuliskan ulasan ini karena para staffnya sangat ramah, tapi ini tempat terburuk yang pernah saya datangi! Jangan datang ke sini!
