When you buy colour pencils, firstly try the red. Bad red pencil doesn't put colour but only give powder. Then try one of light purple to confirm the technic of mixing red and blue particles. Then check the passion for colour pencils by ones of gold and silver. They wouldn't give a good colour if they're made cheaply because of the expense. If everythin's fine, they are good colour pencils.
