After graduating from the faculty of engineering of the Yokohama National University in Japan as a Singaporean government-sponsored foreign student, [I] worked for the Ministry of Defense, Singapore, and then worked as a director of a trading company. [I] have been involved in IBM Singapore since May 2010. At the same time, as a chairman (currently just as a member) of the JUGAS(the Japanese University Graduates Association of Singapore), [I] engaged in activities to promote friendly relations between Japan and Singapore.

After working for Hewlett-Packard Japan for 4 years, [I] have started working with IBM since June 2010. [My] tasks include planning, implementing and establishing main and information systems mainly for businesses such as raw material and chemical manufacturers, public utility institutions and specialized trading companies (e.g. steel). Furthermore, under the direct supervision of CIO, [I] planed mid-term strategies including utilization of outsourcing and judgement of introduction of IT trend. Therefore [I] have a strong strength on IT vision planning, innovating business practices and utilizing outsourcing.

[I] worked for an IT venture company which is listed in the Best Venture 100 for 2008 for 3 years, and engaged in sales of infra-solution and infra-engineering. 1958年、シンガポール生まれ。高校卒業後、国費留学生として日本に渡る。
1982年に横浜国立大学工学部（船舶海洋工学科）を卒業。兵役のため、シンガポールに帰国。
1985年にシンガポール国防省に入省。軍艦の製造、修繕や資産管理に携わる。
1993年、工場機械・部品を専門に扱う貿易企業にて物流、マーケティング関連部門のDirectorを務める。
2010年5月、ノブレスシンガポール入社。

Activities and awards as the Chairman/vice-Chairman of JUGAS
2001 and 2006 : Participated, as the representative of the JUGAS,
in the Japan-Singapore Symposium that aims to exchange views regarding
various issues including integration of East Asian economic zone, measures
against terrorism and safety assurance.
2002 : Talked with then-Prime Minister of Japan, Junichiro Koizumi
on the theme of “The year of exchange between Japan and Singapore”.
2005 : Received a Foreign Minister’s Award from the Foreign Minister of Japan
in recognition of contribution to the promotion of mutual understanding
between Japan and Singapore through activities on assisting students
who want to study in Japan and encouraging graduates who returned back
to Singapore to communicate.
2008 : Published a paper, Proposal on the Japan’s policy toward foreign student,
in “Gaiko Forum”, Japan’s only magazine which handles issues of foreign
diplomacy and international affairs.
2008 : Talked with then-Prime Minister of Japan, Yasuo Fukuda, on the them of
“The Japan’s future system of accepting foreign students”.
