While at work employees are expected to exercise the same discretion in using personal cellular phones as is expected for the use of company phones. A reasonable standard the company encourages is to limit personal calls during work time to no more than one per day as needed for a duration of a few minutes only. Employees are therefore asked to make any other personal calls on non-work time where possible and to ensure that friends and family members are aware of the company's policy.
会社にいる間は、個人の携帯電話も、会社の電話と同じ様に扱う事を求められる。個人的な通話は、必要な際にでも1日に1度、数分まで、というのが会社が支持する妥当な基準である。従業員がそれ以外の個人的な通話をするのは、就業時間以外に限られ、また、従業員の友人や家族もその会社の方針を理解しているべきである。
Employees whose job responsibilities do not specifically include driving as an essential function, but who are issued a cell phone for business use, are also expected to abide by the provisions above. Under no circumstances are employees allowed to place themselves at risk to fulfill business needs.
車の運転が職務でない従業員に対しても、業務用に携帯電話を支給された場合には、上記の規定に従う事を求められる。いかなる場合にも、職務をこなす為に自分の身を危険にさらしてはならない。
