Indeed, the personality ratings of husbands provided by the generative women indicated that their husbands were negotiating well the psychosocial stages of intimacy(highly loving) and integrity(high wisdom). Of course, husbands were not actually sampled. Thus, we do not know whether the husbands of generative women were, in fact, loving and wise. But at the very least the more generative women viewed their husbands in this way.
The more authoritarian women did not provide consistent responses to the marriage items. As argued earlier, this was not unexpected.
