日本の消費者は世界一要求が厳しく、日本市場で勝ち抜けば、世界でも戦える」と言われました。しかし、厳しく、場合によっては理不尽な要求に応えるために行ってきた施策が、皮肉にも品質の劣る海外の部品・製品を表舞台に上げてしまいました。

It was said that japanese consumers have the most strict demand in the world so if you win through japanese market then you can compete in the world market. However, the strict measure which reward for unreasonable demands depenging on the stuation ironically brought up lesser quality foreign parts / products to the major stage.
