CHAPTER 17-1
There is one sentence that cannot be tolerated in the workplace. It is very damaging to the continued growth of the employees, the managers and, ultimately, the company. That sentence is, "That's good enough."
A manager threw out a brochure design and asked the designer to start over following a brief conversation. The manager asked some questions about the design, and the designer told the manager, ''Well, it could be fixed, but I think it will work good enough the way it is." The comment illustrated for the manager an attitude that he would not tolerate.

職場で容認できない言葉がある。従業員や管理者や究極的には会社の継続的な成長を非常にそこなうものだ。その言葉は「まあいいんじゃないか」だ。管理者はカタログのデザインを投げだし、短い会話の後にデザイナーにもう一度やり直すように言った。管理者はデザインについていくつか質問し、デザイナーは管理者に「そうですね、修正することもできますが、わたしはそのままでもまあいいんじゃないかと思いますよ」。このコメントは管理者にとって許容できない態度を明らかにした。
