日本神話にでてくる3つの神を祀り、この三番目の岩は縁結びの岩とされてます。
岩に沢山開いている小さな穴にヒモを通して結ぶことができれば縁が結ばれると言われ、近年ではヒモに５円硬貨を通して結びます。
日本語の良縁を意味する「良縁」と日本硬貨の「5円」の発音が共にＧｏｅｎと言う事から始りました。創建は1185～1190年。
