Oddly enough I have a very good idea of the background of the exhaust stack.During World War II the US government captured Japanese Zero aircraft for evaluation and testing. This stack was on a -52 Zero that was being tested in Pensacola as I recall. It was crashed during landing when the pilot forgot the throttle on the Zero was backwards. ie. shutdown was full forward. The Zero lost its landing gear and was hacked to pieces and badly damaged, then thrown on the scrap pile.It was recovered by the Atlanta Museum and was displayed for years. The Museum closed it the late 90s and I was told to sell the stack by the current owner
