12月9日、国際ミーティング・エキスポ会場内で 「平成26年度日本政府観光局国際会議誘致・開催貢献賞授賞式」が実施された。
同賞は、国際会議主催者や都市・推進機関の優れた功績を称えることで、国際会議誘致・開催の意義の普及啓蒙やさらなる推進を図るもの。
今回は、平成25年度中に誘致・開催された国際会議が対象となっており、各コンベンション推進機関より過去最多となる35会議の推薦があった。審査委員会での審査を経て、国際会議誘致の部4件、国際会議開催の部8件の計12件が選出された。
On December 9, "2004 Prize for Attracting and Holding International Conferences from Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) award ceremony" was held at International meeting Expo center.
The award is aimed to aware the significance of attracting international conference and further promote international conferences by honoring excellent achievements by organizers, cities and institutions to promote international conferences.
The elegible conferences are international conferences invited and held during 2003 and 35 conferences,which was a record figure, were recommended by each convention promotional institutions. After the examination of review committee,total 12 candidates - 4 candidates in International conference invitation category, 8 candidates in international conference host category - were elected.
