白金青い池【北海道】
池の面積は1万2千平方メートルで、深さ2.5～5メートル。陸から見ると水色だが、水は透明で酸性が強いこともなく、不思議な色の原因は分かっていない。
この美しい池を撮影した画像は、アップル社MacBook Proのデスクトップ壁紙に採用された。
青い池の水が青い理由、白金温泉街にございます『白ひげの滝』などから、アルミニウムを含んだ水が流れでている。
（滝は崖の途中から地下水が湧き出ている潜流瀑。）
Shirogane Aoi Ike (Hokkaido)
The surface of the lake amounts to 12000 square meters, and it is 2.5 to 5 meters deep. It looks blue when seen from the land, but its waters are transparent and has no strong acidity, so the cause of its mysterious color is unknown.
The image of a shot of this beautiful lake has been chosen as a desktop wallpaper for Apple's MacBook Pro.
The reason the water of Aoi Ike is blue is that water containing aluminum from the "Shirahige no taki" falls in Shirogane hot spring resorts flows into it.
(The falls originate from an undercurrent that springs out of the middle of a cliff.)
