ジオン公国軍に勝利した地球連邦軍は増長し、コロニーに対し、支配と圧力を強めていた。やがて連邦軍内部に「ジオンの残党狩り」を名目に、スペースノイドへの強権的制裁を加えるエリート部隊「ティターンズ」が創設された。急速に勢力を拡大したティターンズに反発する一部の連邦軍人やスペースノイド達は、反地球連邦組織「エゥーゴ」を結成する。

Having won against the Zeon army, Federation grows more arrogant and strengthens oppression against the colonies. Soon, an elite unit to "hunt down the remnants of Zeon", the "Titans" is created to further oppress the Spacenoids. To counter Titans' swiftly increasing power, a part of Federation soldiers and Spacenoids form an anti-Terran organization "Eugo".
