Laser diode driver includes a mount for a laser diode, SLED, SOA or similar device, a low noise current driver and a TEC controller in a self-contained, portable enclosure. The diode driver is preconfigured with a 14 pin Butterfly mount and includes a DIL mount that can be used in lieu of the Butterfly mount. Type 1 and Type 2 pin-out boards are included.
The laser diode driver can be operated in stand-alone mode via keypad and display or through a PC with the included control software. The software control provides real-time readouts and data logging. An automated setup can be achieved with either the included software or the included LabVIEW™ drivers.
Two operation modes are available: constant current and constant power. Operation mode, laser current and device temperature are controllable. Laser protection features, such as a slow current ramp-up, current limit and temperature limit, are included.External modulation is possible through a male SMB connection. A wall mount power supply is included.
